Have you ever been forwarded a message from a friend about an urban legend before? Well I have, and it’s just creepy and weird but it keeps me wondering…is it really true? An Urban Legend is an apocryphal, second hand story told as true and plausible enough to be believed, about something horrific, embarrassing, ironic, or exasperating series of events that supposedly happened to a real person. It originates usually by being passed on by word of mouth or more commonly today in email from. They often invoke the famous “it happened to a friend of a friend” which makes finding the original source of the story virtually impossible.
